Perlite?

Is there anywhere online that sells perlite for a reasonable price? I've gone to every damn store in this town and NO ONE has it.
There was one store that sold me verm and claimed it was perlite

What else could i do for the standing water in the bottom of my greenhouse?

Yeah it says "Horticultural Perlite is a form of volcanic rock that us mined and subjected to intense heat to expand into light weight white granules."
I did take it back and they said it is perlite and wouldn't give my money back because it was opened.
Walmart is out for the 'season' There's a lowes about 10 min from BFE where I live I'll go check it out.

they still should take it back, cant they see that is not white rock. Its cleary something else. So what if its opened, its not what it says on the packet.
That packet should say horticultural vermiculite.

I don`t know what laws you have there, but here where I live I`d send trade inspection or something. Buyers generaly don`t know their rigths. Can`t say that I know them very well, but you can`t go wrong in this situation. If this thing would happen here, I`m sure that seller would have to pay a few thousand euros of penalty and give me 100% money back (not exchange for some other product). Don`t let them manipulate you...so f**k them back

if they won't give you your money back, you should just start screaming and flinging the contents of the bag all over the place! fuckin' wal-mart!

Keep your receipt and when you do get the perlite, go back to walmart and shove a big handful in their face and show them what perlite is! I mean damn, that's like buying condoms just to open the pack and find razor blades...

You can cover the floor with a thick layer of paper towels, or even large cotton bath towels to soak up the excess drips and help evaporate them into the air again. Be sure to replace every couple of days, or wash the bath towels so they won't grow molds. RR

I was thinking towels but didn't think it was a good idea for fear of mold and/or mildew.
Thanks RR
i didnt buy it a walmart i bought it at some old run down garden center which is worse because they should know their shit. I talked to the manager and she said that was perlite. I'm going back after (if) i find some and show that dumb bitch what perlite is.

Man I'd be pissed if I found something else inside a package marked otherwise. I'd raise hell if they refused to take that shit back. wtf man, there's gotta be some kind of local organization you can contact or something. Fuck those assholes.

I actually found some at Lowes in another town that's close to mine. I'm going back to that place with both bags and going to throw a fit. Maybe pouring the bag of verm they sold me over the counter when I leave. It was 5 bucks so I'm not THAT worried about it. But it is about principle they shouldnt be able to sell something that's marked wrong.
At least my mushrooms look good

Yah, I wouldn't worry about 5 bucks, I'd just be pissed over the principle of the thing. Definitely throw that vermiculite all over the store if they don't give you your money back.

Funny how most replies avoided the bottom line, what to do with the excess moisture in the greenhouse. I don't know if this is a good idea according to the pro cultivators on this board, but its working for me. I simply stilted my greenhouse on small shoebox sized plastic bins and poked two 1/4" holes about an 1.5" apart in the very center of the floor of the greenhouse. My greenhouse is a plastic fabric like material so I just press the middle down toward the floor and it lets the water run out. Every so often I will towel dry all the nooks and crannies in there and hit it with some lysol just to keep mold from forming. Just make sure the drip pan you use underneath doesn't have a microscopic hole in it that shit drove me crazy for a few days (i thought the water was running from the holes by adhesion.

I don't see what would be wrong with using that vermiculite to soak up the water. I think a better use would be to fling it around that store though. Bastards.
