Is it possible to induce mycelium into a LC?

Hows it going? I am in the process of using agar to refine a aggressive mycelium gen. Then i would like to some inject... or some how induce the mycelium into a LC. Is this a possibility and if so how is it done. Or is my only option putting the mycelium directly into the substrate. Any response will be greatly appreciated.

I haven't done much (any) agar work, but if you're dead set on liquid culture, you would probably be better off cloning a piece of tissue from the strain you've isolated and fruited out.
It's actually possible to isolate a non-fruiting strain.
When cloning a fruit, you tear the fruit body open to reveal non-exposed tissue and scrape a piece from the interior with a flame-sterilized scalpel.

ya i see what your saying. what i was hoping to do was get that stringy growing mycelium (the fast growing and larger fruit or in many opinions the better gen of mycelium as opposed to the cottony one)and make an LC to have the quantity and all the benifits of LC's. In my opinion if i can acomplish this, it will be the best of the best a strain has to offer and all the benifits of liquid culturs. So, i could grow premium mush in no time.
I could just put the mycelium into the substrate, but i would like to have the option of injecting it instead of opening jars to stay away from contamination.

Yes you can put Agar and create a LC. Do a search on agar to LC and you should get a lot of nice results. From what I have read so far you can (depending on the petri dish) take a large piece or if its split in three and take the piece out and put in you LC solution. Use a flowhood or a glovebox! I would keep isolating that nice rhizo then do the LC
