No way it cant be normal...thsi isnt my first time growing,i closely inspected 1 of teh cakes and it had green mold underneath the mycelium,so i just threw it out...Any others ideas?Im worried thoughOn my last project i left the cake sin 2 long and they got green mold, and i didnt wash out the fish tank whne i was done. Then i put in new cakes. So did the mold from my old experiment infect my new cakes?

Since green mold is airborn whenever you have it you have to CLEAN everything properly..
At least if you want to put new cakes in the same place afterwards..

Nip them off with scissors and bury them in small jars of more substrate. These are very, very active rhizomes which have burst through the surface - this stuff is the *best* there is for inoculating substrate. Don't even worry too much about sterilising the substrate - this form of the mycelium is so active, it'll outgrow anything else it finds itself in competition with.

You lucky b@5t@rd.....

Yeah, the active rhizomorphic growing tips are so good that you can hear them rustlin' through the substrate of an evenin', you're doing great - don't stop now!
