weird yellow spots on cakes PICS

hey i got 6 B+ cakes incubating at about 82 degrees. they are about 2 weeks into incubatioin and these weird yelllow spots kinda just showed up. they dont seem to be growing but there is alot and its in all the jars does anyone know what this is? thanks

I would say to not trust it.
Then again. Wait for an expert to chime in. I however, see something fishy.

At first glance it looks like matabolites, but the substrate isn't even fully colonized. These are the times that a HIGH REZ picture would be worth a thousand words.

Metabolites have a primary ecological function. primarily released as an antibiotic. I couldn't say for sure what is causing it to be released, but it could be because it has been exposed to some type of competitive organism, or simply because your substrate seems to be overly wet and compact, (which would make it very difficult for the mycelium to run through it. I cannot say for sure WHY. As a matter of fact, that second picture has a very suspect area slightly to the center/left of the bottom mycelium. Very Off color. (almost green)

theres no need to incubate them. you should lower your temps 82 is too much, thats asking for contams.

agreed lower your temps.
Room temp is fine for colinisation, the difference between 75F and 80F is minimul if anything and above that mycelial growth falls sharply.
I also dont like the look of those jars.

looks like A LOT of piss to me. and check out the green looking spot too its hard to tell if thats trich, dark verm or wierd lighting.

k i lowered the temps and some of the cakes dont have much of that yellow at all but thoes 2 pics are the 2 spots with the most but all the mycelium seems to be growing pretty fast now too.
