Probably the Seychelles , Bali or any other tropical paradise. Living the life at low cost , probably try to land a country with loose drug rules where I can grow pot trees in my backyard.

Honestly though, I have always wanted to live in Italy for some reason. I like the setting. But it will never happen because I am not a big fan of learning foreign languages.

Norway or Sweden. I don't know about Norway, but Sweden can be difficult because they try to take primarily refugees. I know the languages, but I don't have any special skills so who knows.

Two places:
Cairns, Australia
Interlaken, Switzerland (if only I knew German)
No clue how hard it is to move to either country, but wouldn't imagine that hard.

Probably somewhere in the Caribbean or South America where I don't have to obey any drugs laws, grow weed in my back porch, have saved up funds, and I can open a brew pub and eatery where I wear cheezy Hawaiin shirts, tan my gut, brew exotic ales with fresh fruit, smoke herb casually, and spend my free time dropping acid and eating mushrooms in the rain forest. It's that or a Scandinavian country.
What's impeding me is the language barrier, the financial jump, the hot weather, work/relationship ties, and enjoying my current situation in the PNW.

Ever consider Trinidad and/or Tobago? They speak English on both islands. Both are "third world countries" but I fucking love it every time I go there. I think your biggest problem would be learning to drive on the other side of the road. If you're a racist, it might not work out too well. Population is either black or Indian (like from India).
Worth investigating, both are absolutely AMAZING places to live. Good food and living is cheap as shit too. You'd just have to adapt to the third world aspect of it (dangerous in the wrong neighborhoods). Then again, the only Caribbean islands that aren't very poor tend to be the US territories, like Puerto Rico and St. Thomas, or the Cayman Islands.

Galapagos is top of my list, amazing animals and plant life. Might be hard to live there as most all of the islands are protected.
Iceland would be awesome, but its a big language barrier.
Sweeden would also be very fun.
But I think realistically, im going to move to Oregon in several years, and just keep a winter home here in FL.

I agree with many people here about Iceland. After visiting twice I thought how great it would be to live there.
Some thoughts:
-- they are not keen on foreigners living and working there. EU residents can live and work there MAYBE, US residents can not PERIOD.
-- Icelandic people speak better English than 92.6% of Americans I have known. You can get by on English but I would actively try to learn their language if I lived there.
-- Now that Iceland is having their banking turmoil after the dust settles it may get cheaper, it may not. Before the banking crisis Iceland was damn expensive, too expensive to live there for sure.
-- Iceland is really an island made up of currently inactive volcanoes. It would suck to be stuck there when they go off, and scientists talk about Iceland exploding in the same fashion they talk about the "Big One" earthquake coming to Southern California. Not a matter of if, but when.
But yes, I love Iceland thank you very much.

Not too sure.
I could probably move to any country that had "colleges" or other types of centers for higher learning and be employed there.
Although I think Japan is too crowded, I'm partial to industrialized Asian countries.

I'm surprised by how many people picked cold climates as their place to live. I'm not a fan of the cold for extended periods of time. Which is why I'd live in Australia most of the year and go to my place in Switzerland when I feel like experiencing cold weather/going snowboarding.

I grew up in Florida so I'm still sick of the heat and enjoying the cold dampness of the PNW, but that might get old after awhile. A tropical climate with high elevations is the perfect mix for people like us.
Central America has some interesting places to live, too. What do you think is a good way to make a sustainable living in a place on the cusp of a third world country?
