questions of quantity

i have done PLENTY of searching through the forums, but still have a few questions.
im making plans for my first grow. i have everything i need. My fruiting chambers dimensions are about 21 inches long, 13 inches wide, and a little under 12 inches high.
i have either 2 or 3 syringes on order (depending on if i get a refund for one or if it is shipped, long story)
i want to use half of one to make a few liquid cultures (just experimenting, see what happens) (should i use more instead?)
so that leaves me with 15 - 25ccs of spores.
i am doing the brown rice flower cake method. i want to use half of my chamber for the cakes, just to experiment and get a feel for that. i also want to use the other half of it for a small casing, just to get a feel for that. i figure the more things i try, the better of a feel i can get for this hobby.
so, is there a good way to get the most out of my fruiting chamber? perhaps stacking the cakes or making shelves? is my fruiting chamber tall enough for this? perhaps i should rotate my chamber so that its length becomes its height, allowing for more shelves or stacking?
how many cakes will it take to grow 12 grams dried (on average, i know its a tough question to answer)
any further info for any tips or techniques not related to my questions would also be appreciated. thanks

youll only need a drop of your syringe per LC.... altho spores are not the best way to begin an LC.
the best way to maximize your FC is to make a monotub out of it and fill the bottom 4-5" with substrate. you can get some pretty max flushes if you play your cards right.

You can just a rubber-maid tub for you FC. Look for a sale and you'll get a big one for like $5. FC size shouldn't really be a limiting factor.

Im pretty sure your gonna get the same answer from veerybody. And that is that it all depends on the grower and strain. I dont think its tall enough for you to stack...Id just invest in another tub. One for cakes and one for cases.

as far as LCs - i want to make a few, just in case any get contams
as far as fruiting chambers - i'm only doing this cake/casing mix once or twice. i'll get a feel for it and then i'll probably only do casings.

My friend generally gets between 1-5 grams per BRF cake. If you are using 1 CC per cake, thats an average of say 3 grams per CC. Id say if you make up 10 cakes you should have any trouble getting 12 dried grams from one spore syringe, even if you end up losing 1/2 of them to contaminants, which really shouldn't happen.
Good luck!

lol you shouldn't have a problem getting 12 dried pounds from one spore syringe... in the right hands of course. Not that there is much you can do with 12 pounds.. but it sounded cool

You shouldn't have a problem getting 100 dried pounds from 1 cc of a spore syringe either. It's all a matter of how you manage what you've got, and how much time/money you're willing to devote. The reason why I said the ratio I said is that its easy and damn near fool proof if you've spent a couple of hours browsing the shroomery.
PF tek rules at giving you a solid small supply of mushrooms while you experiment with growing those "12 pounds".
