Boiling steralization questions

Alright so right now my 6 jars are being sterilized by steam in a boiling pot. Do I need to let the pot cool down before I take out and inoculate the jars?
Also, the lid isnt very tight. If I do have to let the pot cool, could contaminants get to the jars through the small openings of the lid?
First time...

Hopefully you have tin foil on the lids of the jars, otherwise their moisture content may be thrown off. But regardless, yes you have to allow the jars to cool before inoculation. You can take them out of the pot while still hot. Ideally you have used a dry verm barrier, or some type of lid set up for the jars to keep them safe from airborne contaminates. They aren't going to sit in that pot their entire incubation know what I mean? Dry verm/micro-pore tape/polyfil/tyvek/wutever are used to keep as much junk out as possible (and allow gas exchange). Jars are safe to incubate on an open shelf.

you can simply take the jars out and let them cool before inoculating but do let them cool.

I didn't use jars..
Instead I followed the PF Tek for Simple Minds and used 6 drinking glasses with 3 layers of aluminum foil. Is this okay? Because now I'm worried that they'll get easily contaminated.

Yes that method is used by many that dont have access to canning jars. I have used it too with 100% success (after i started using a glovebox)
Leave your jars in the pt to cool, i see no reason to take them out while they are stil hot and risk burning yourself.

dude seriously... not to bash or flame you... but these are very basic questions that if you did the slightest bit of searching/looking around you would have found your answer quicker then it would have taken you to setup this post... I've noticed that the same 10 questions are asked over and over at this forum.
Granted, I am a noobie but I mean I did my research... Yea I had a dumb question or 2... but I mean if you scroll through even the last 20 posts on this forum I am sure this is answered within 20 posts!

So the pot has been in my room overnight, and I'll have to let it sit until 3:30 until I have time to inoculate. That's a long wait, so can I sterilize the jars again just to make sure?
