Brewing bins with or without taps?

I am about to get into brewing and have access to brewing bins either with or without taps. I intend to bottle the beer for the second fermentation so I wont be using the tap to pour out the beer for drinking. I wouldn't want my beer to go all flat now would I?
When using a bin without a tap you syphon the wort out and attempt not to disturb the deposit at the bottom. Would the bins with taps, the tap being at the bottom, disturb the deposit when pouring out the wort? What are the pros/cons of having or not having a tap on your fermentation bin?
I tried to search for an answer to this and couldn't find anything specifically relating to this question. Please help me out.
At the moment I think I will use a fermentation bin without a tap. However, if I have a tap on my bin, I have the choice of either using it or just leaving it and syphoning instead.

Not sure I follow what you are saying. If I am imagining the right peice of equipment, you would not want to ferment in it. Just because you could does not mean you would want to.
I am assuming you are talking about something like this http://www.hollyridgewinery.com/Ale-Pail-200W.jpg
Food grade plastics can be used to the fermentation of beer. However the fermentation proccess can leave stuff behind that is time consuming to get clean when you dont want to use an abrassive cleaning tool (scratching the inside of a plastic fermenting vessel can lead to contaminated batches in the future as bacteria can hide in the nooks and escape cleaning).
The food grade buckets with the tap are great for bottling. After your brew is done fermenting simply siphon your beer into your bucket w/ tap and attatch via hose a bottle filler http://morebeer.com/images/thumb/phpThumb.php?src=/product_images/morebeer.com/1/6815.jpg&w=250&h=250&far=C&fltr[]=wmi|../../themes/morewinepro/images/thumbnail_watermark.png|C|15
add a measured amount of sugars for bottle conditioning and voila makes bottling pretty easy.
If I am totally off base of what you are talking about, I appologize. If I am, pics might help.

Go with taps as you can go from fermentation to bottling(priming)tank. Then into a bottle...
That or an old 3gal water bottle could work..

Thank you CptnGarden. I used to help my Father when he brewed beer/ale and really enjoyed the whole process. Drinking the fine tasting beer is only one of the benefits.
This is what I'm talking about.

Please, don't apologize. I am in error for not making my question clear enough.

Why?

The bins for fermenting can have taps so I could syphon into that and then use the tap to fill the bottles for the second fermentation. My question is: would filling the bottles directly from the fermenting bin (with a deposit at the bottom) disturb the deposit too much compared to syhponing into another bin with a tap and then filling the bottles?

im completely against using any kind of plastic for fermentation, i just dont like it. even when they say it is a strong enough plastic and that it doesnt leech material into the food/liquid, i dont buy it. plastic breaks down, so im inclined to believe that small amounts leech even with the best plastics. not to mention, everything tastes different in plastic than it does in glass.
but alas i cannot afford 5 gallon glass carboys at the current time, so i use the hard plastic 5gal jugs used for water machines in brewing my wine.

and my fancy, high tech airlock.

Lefty is right on about plastic potentially imparting flavors, especially if you are doing a long term beverage like a champagne, wine, mead or barley wine etc.
As far as filling bottles directly from the fermenter, I can only assume it would disturb the sediment more than a traditional siphoning. I have no imperical evidence of this mind you, only an educated guess. Another diffaculty I see with this is if you are adding priming sugars you would want to ensure that they are well dilluted and distributed into the beer, ie: stirring.
But like I said I havent tried that method and so a bit of that is made on shear assumption, so take it for what thats worth.
While I generally discourage the condom or glove style airlocks in place of the 50 cent traditional air locks, I must admit I truly am in awe and envy of an airlock shaped like the shocker.... bravo.
Glass carboys are anywhere from 12-20 USD depending upon how and where you aquire them.
For some reason this whole train of thought has me thinking about pressure barrels. I dont really like to use pressure barrels unless it is for a short mead or heffewiesen.

that is the reason why i only primary ferment in the plastic. its in there a short time, and then i transfer to 1gal glass jugs.
lol i thought someone might appreciate the shocker.
and ive never seen 5gal carboys for that cheap, then again i havent been able to find any around here, ill have to dig deeper. i can afford at least one at $20 a pop.

The $20 each ones I get from my semi-local brewstore in NE oklahoma. The cheapest I have hear of people aquiring them around here was $12 in the form of requesting old school glass carboys from bottled water companies that do the water cooler jugs and not retturning them (thus forfieting the $12 deposit) kinda crappy I know, but it has been done.
