It's time to take on Round 24.
Alright guys, so last round was... I would say... A pretty damn good round seeing as how it was our first and out of thousands of cartels we still ranked 79. Not only that, but we started in the last quarter of the round. If we give this next round some real attention, which I think would be fun to do at least once hardcore, we should be able to rank much higher.
This started out as an idea to have Shroomery forum members only. I would like to put in my vote and say we should start letting others join, and we can perhaps gain some new members for the forums as well. It can be a win win situation. The more members we have, the more bank we make, the harder it will be to trump us.
I don't know who's willing, but I'm down for making this next round fun as hell and buying some DRC. If anyone else would like to throw in and get some as well, that would be sick. For those of you that absolutely can't, what are cartel bosses for? I'll be here to help out and send some precious DRC credit your way if you're pulling your weight.
I have some good strategies I'd like to talk out with some members who are more interested in investing a little above average time this round, just little things I noticed some successful players doing.
It looks like the strategy guide page was hacked or something, so we'll make our own way.
So beyond all that, I'm not asking everyone to play 3 characters even though that would be awesome, but I am asking that everyone list what characters you intend to play the next round so that we can get some ideas flowing about attribute distribution for those characters, and how many bankers we need, and where money should go right away, etc etc.
Let's get started while we have two days, clear your tag and cell number and for now put a link to this thread in your sig so we can get some new members flowing this way.

I plan on making a salesman and farmer. I have a good idea on what not to do with my farmer now. The salesman just makes bank pretty much and I can use him for hitting which is mostly what I did the last round.

I'm going for salesman, exmilitary, and banker.
DRC is the bitch though. To get big banks you need DRC.... To be able to bomb people you need DRC (though I think only once not every time) and to get good salesman boosts and high drug moving you need drc.
Oh well, I've tried to buy some with the money I made in DR in the DRC marketplace and think I have .80 or so.
I'd through in 3-5$ for DRC, so why doesn't everyone say how much they are good for? I can send money via paypal.
If I get a good salesman I should be able to sell pretty fast, or just get the russian mob and sell for 5$/q/oz ho And if I get good DRC I can give other people bank accounts to some extent. Anyone who want to should run their own banker as it really helps. All you need to do is get some hos and buy safes and do minimal hitting. W/ bank accounts you get automatic street cred, so that builds the guy up quick.
And yeah, I'm all for letting whoever wants in. Who cares if they don't post on shroomery? Let em join.
I'm surprised we made top 100 considering we jumped in so late. Game seems fun, but I'll be damned if I'll spend more than 5$ on that DRC.

I've found setting public sales price to 5.00/q/oz works good
Anyone know if higher will still sell?
And go to options and you can set default sales price to public, and choose if you want the public to buy high or low quality drugs first, that way if you attack folks you can save high quality for yourself to boost morale.
Anyone up for coordinating raids to take down other cartels this time around? Pick one about on our level and just go nuts?

that FAQ got hacked or some shit....
anyway. i had a salesman or banker that didnt do shit, as well as an assassin that sucked, but my farmer kicked ass. within 24 hours I had a mansion a farm and 200 offensive soldiers.
even the wiki page is crap now.
anyway... i cant remember all the jobs out there, but I am basically going to make a farmer, an offensive guy, and a money guy.
let me know if you find an faq that works, I want to read up some more.
anyway, if someone comes into the game later on, once we get our cartel off the ground, I think we should get them to set their sites on pure infiltration of enemy cartels. i have thought about doing this myself.... make three characters of the same job that is most desired by cartels and get invited by our three biggest enemies then give intel to our cartel via shroomery and later narc them all out.

Can someone explain why drugs are made and sold not on the hour? It seems the totals add up to more than they should in the hour. ANyone see the same thing on their drug and finance ledgers?

I totally screwed up and planned on getting back to my characters last night, but I didnt and basically just got all jacked up.
but now I am producing 150q shit with my farmer, got a lot of informants with my assassin and my investment banker is seriously defended and about to start coasting.
my banker is yeehaw... 2687017 add me if you need to make a deposit right now I got two safes, but about to get another one.
but please someone make a salesman for the shroomery. I got 100+ ounces of 110q and already have 5 single dealers. dont want to go to the street teams because i just got my greenhouse operating with 150q.

The corporate salesman is the true counterpart of the farmer. None can rival the huge volume of public sales that a dedicated salesman can achieve. Blessed with a 30% sales bonus, the salesman will be one of the fastest growing characters early on. It gets even better when he purchases the Elite Sales Team and Supply Chain Management, which will net him another whopping 90% increase in profit from public sales.
The Salesman is meant to sell vast quantities of drugs. With International Sales Empires at its disposal and able to almost triple Sales Price and Weight, he brings in more cash at Public Sales than any other class.
Unfortunate for some & lucky for others, buying ISE's are usually never the issue. It's gathering the vast amount of drugs needed to sell every Public Sales. It's important to go through the top 50 for street credit the first few days adding any farmer you see to get the highest quality for the cheapest price around to max out your Public Sales. Also going down the active players list will help adding smaller farmers.
The Salesman makes a lot of cash every hour requiring a lot of bank space to hold the cash. You can attempt to invest in a bulk amount of safes, but it will only keep you safe for a single Public Sale. Going offline usually will stop your PSs unless you buy a lot of drugs, which comes with the risk of getting it stolen as well as once it all sells you will be way over safe causing more damage. Selling less and having less stolen from you makes it easier on you and your score while away from the game. The Salesman requires constant attention but the returns are well worth it.
Early game
In the beginning, the CS will shoot past the other classes and take the top spots with farmers. Their sale's bonuses allows them to generate more cash and out build the other classes in little time.
Unless you have your own farmer, the first thing you should buy is about 3-4 closet crops and 2-4 single dealers. Soon as you have the requirements for small teams, sell the single dealers for them. But try to save enough cash for at least two small teams as only getting one will diminish your sales rate losing you cash.
Same thing with large teams and huge teams. Before trading out for them, make sure to at least get 2-3 to keep your sales rate stable. As your sales rate grows, the need for constant farmer contact grows so keep adding them. There's no point in purchasing farms, it takes at least 8 Brazilian farms to equal the sales of a ISE. So stick with sales.
Holding all these drugs will make you a big target to hitters. Investing in housing and maxing out troops will help you a lot. Soon as you can, investing in an Enclosed Mansion should hold your dope safe for a little while.
If your the offensive type, purchase a penthouse apartment and go out and steal some drugs that can be sold through your teams for more cash. Corporate Salesman were given the Russian Mob Connections which will bring you 5 times the quality of everything sell through it. Make sure to get it bought as soon as you have spare cash, but if you are the thieving type get it even sooner to maximize your steals.
To further protect your weed, Armed Guards will keep up to 30% of your weed from being stolen and purchasing Warehouse Vaults reducing another 50% stolen comes in handy. So saving up for it should be near the top of the list.
Late game
By now you should be selling a large amount of drugs every hour, investing that cash in furthering how much you sell an hour for even more cash. You should have bought PR assistance and Elite Sales Team by now for a huge boost in sales.
Always try to run parties, if you don't even want to hit you should run defensive parties. It helps protect the drugs you hold and will help toward 7 prestige for ISE's and compounds, helps later on for 8 prestige for bases, and provides an overall score boost. It's important to get to compounds for the defensive boost to troops, will help you evade a lot of steals against you. Soon as you have the compound, the Don of sales, ISEs, are now available to you. Purchasing even one will have the same sales rate as 3 huge teams. From here keep purchasing ISE's and move your way up to bases.
A lot of players find it annoying to get to 8 notoriety for bases. After getting the notoriety and prestige requirements (should have no worries about street cred requirements), start buying bases up. Will help you guard your cash and weed during sales, also allowing more fire power when silo cracking.
From here, its clear your goal is to keep selling weed through Public Sales. Hiring a few hundred hoes should help bring in some cash. You don't have to worry about watching your score too much, as you won't be attacking too much. Investing in hoe houses, and the smaller hoe prestige items will add your silo limit and safe limit helping against intruders. Nightclubs will help out during maint to pay for all those ISEs you will be sporting.
