What up everyone just wanted to say thank you for everything I have learned here I have now moved up from cakes to Bulk-sub and LCs thanks to this site.
I have a question about what I should do about this super fast colonization of this one particular jar. it is a 1/2 pint WBS jar that finished days before the rest. it is a multi-spore of Cambodian. I would like to get the same result over and over.
So what should I do? I have two ideas.
1. Make a LC using the myc. 2. Clone the best/fastest to pop up mushroom into an LC.
any other things I could try?

make the liquid culture using the mycelium water tek. then you can use that to inoculate like 100 jars. from there you can make prints, clone some nice shrooms, make LC, or drip some on agar and isolate a single myc strain. that would be a good place to start. you got the tek?

Psilocybe comes from the Greek root "psilos" meaning bald head and Cubensis because it was first recognized as a new species from specimens collected in Cuba.

(strain isolation) of about five substrains then fruit them all and choose which to keep based on characteristics you like: ie big caps, even pinset, fast growth, potentcy, ect. then make a liquid culture, and master slant [to store] of this awsome isolated substrain you found.

if you want to make isolation, should learn to use agar in petri dishes and learn to spot rhizomorphic mycelium and sectors of substrains on those petriz. also u need to be really clean\steril useing a glovebox or flowhood. pick any of these words you dont fully understand and search. id start with makeing\sterilizing\pouring agar into petri dishes.

I would like to get the one with the most potency, but how can you tell I judge by how blue they get when I break them. Maby if I had a few test subjects... Also looking into "Master slant"
