Sample mycelium using syringe
    #9074916 - 10/14/08 07:02 AM (16 years, 3 months ago)

Hey everyone:)

AFOAF has some healthy myc colonizing a straw log could he inject a sterile needle syringe into the myc to retrieve a core sample and then flush that into a honey LC?

He has looked on the forum and seen teks using this method for actual mushroom tissue can this also work with myc?

assuming the straw was pasteurized using mycelium to inoculate a sterile substrate would not be a good idea.

the reason is that sterile substrates would not be selective concerning the bacteria it would harbour. so anything unwanted from that straw could easily take over the lc.
