hey i posted some pics a lil while back and still no pinning. i acted upon rr advice and made a shotgun terr, and i dunked 3 out of 4 of the cakes, but still no pinning. what do you all think. are they lost should i just throw them out. the strain is puerto rican.
the 2 side by side was birthed on 9-27 and the on on the left was done on the 28.
these pics is of the cake in the pic above, the top one. there is some bruising on it
this pic is of the one on the bottom
this is the cake on the right side by itself. they have all been dunked for 18 hours
these last 2 were birthed on 10-4. i birthed it to a 2 liter bottle and sit it beside the kitchen window, where it can get natural light.
it looks like its growing some spikes on it now or something, no head yet. as for the others the third one is also in a bottle, and the first 2 are in a shotgun terr, i jus made bigger holes for more fae and their also beside the window. anyways let me know what you think is going on with them. thank you

it looks like mold got a hold of it and you forgot to rolled it with vermiculit.your rh or Fae could be a suspect cause it should pin by now without rolling it in vermiculite from my experience

looks like bruising with some contam. one looks pic looks like bruising only. hmmm hard to say. you could cut of the funky looking part and see what happens.

Looks like bruising to me, dont see any contams. Dunking should be done for 24 hours.
You say you built a shotgun FC, but i dont see that many holes, and the holes you have look like there bigger than recommended in the shotgun fc tek (look at the link in my sig).
Fresh air exchange is the number 1 pinning trigger.
I would roll those cakes in dry verm, let sit of an hour, then moistened the verm by misting. Dont be shy with getting the verm moist. Mist 4-5 times a day getting the verm moist and fan after wards.
Check your humidity, it should be no lower than 95%. the higher the better.

i went to try to get some verm and noone around here has any. as for holes i had like 1/16th holes drilled in it then i realized that was wrong and drilled 1/4 inch holes instead. the 2 in the terr, i dont think their cont, just really bad bruising from where i dunked them, and they fell over in the terr a few times. the rh is 98%.

no i didnt roll them. but i did find some verm today, so im redunking them and going to roll then maybe drill some more holes in the terr

Brother man, I can't tell you how many times I failed in the beginning! Hopefully you keep notes on every grow, that way you know what didn't work and what did work. Don't feel like an idiot. i fairly sure its not mold, but jus bad bruising from the plate i use for dunking and the fact that they kept falling over, and me picking them up. plus the blue gets lighter and lighter the longer after its dunked. yep im keeping notes, i pretty sure i went wrong with my first terr, think it had very bad fae, the new one i built has bigger and more holes in it, and its beside the window now so it can get natural light. funny though, the whole time before and even during the grow i was worried about keeping the temp correct, and i didnt give too much thought to the fae. but im still wanting to try to get rid of the puerto rican strain and get some b+ and try that next go aroung.

And by the looks of your pictures, your 'shotgun terrarium' is more like a 'rifle terrarium', in that I only see one hole. Shoot that baby again and again. Don't worry about losing humidity, as long as you have enough water in your perlite and you mist regularly, more holes will mean more FAE and more babies!

oh and the pics of the terr was when they had like 1/16th holes in it, it took me a while to find my 1/4 bit
