Reptile humidity and air exchange vs. homemade equivilant

Hello, I am building a medium to small martha and am considering what method to provide air exchange and humidity.
Firstly i am considering this tek: http://www.shroomery.org/10156/Automated-Humid-Air-amp-Air-Exchanger-Tek-ToadStoolFool Which utilises a reptile humidity and air exchange system.
Secondly there is the option of building a close equivilant, as done in this tek: http://www.shroomery.org/9789/Teh-Fire-and-4get-Bubbleh-Humidifier I am drawn towards building my own similar to the above tek. Since if i have a big enough jar with enough water, an adjustable ultrasonic and large enough and adjustable air pump, it would in theory provide a system where the air exchange and humidity could be altered sepeartly and individually. However i am abit worried that if i wanted a high air exchange it would also mean a high humidity and ideally i am looking for a system which provides a means of adjusting them separtly.
What do you guys think?
Do any of you have experience with either?
Are there any good alternatives that would provide individually adjusted air exhange and humidity?
Thanks

timers and humidfiers usually cause more problems than they help.

Didn't read the links.
I have a shotgun FC with a computer fan running off a 5V phone charger and a pint glass with a fish air stone in it. My small flouro light is on a timer-12hr on /12hr off cycle.
The only place for my FC is on the top shelf of a cupoard. When I lift the FC down the pint glass usually falls over resulting in wet clothes and carpet (I have to tilt the FC to get it out). Hence why I use the fan-so I dont have to lift it up and down when I mist and fan.
I just mist then turn on the fan, come back 5 min later and turn it off. rH is just over 90% and my mushrooms seem to be growing fine. This works for me. That said it's my first grow and I haven't picked one mushroom yet but it looks promising.
Was thinking of getting a fogger and setting it up so the fog falls into the FC with the intention of running the fan on a timer simultaneously with the fogger to increase FAE (the fan istelf drops rH0, rather using the fan manually (turning on and off at the switch) when I mist.
Don't mean to jack your thread just saying this works for me. Similar to the set and forget tek you posted.
This goes against conventional advice but its working for me at the moment.

does anyone have any other alternatives they want to suggest? I am especially interested in systems where the air exchange and humidity can be altered separtly. Cheers joe

You want a high humidity regardless. 95% plus is recommended. That said my mushrooms are doing fine on 90%.
If you want to keep FAE and humidy seperate use different timers.
The way I see it is that if you have a good enough humidifier it will raise the humidty back quickly up after fanning anyway so it doesn't really matter.
