Thanks guys, I'll try more misting and some new syringes. I need to help keep Ryche in business anyway.

I have a PmP which I mist and fan often. I've noticed I get better results by supplementing the FAE manually. The air pump maintains a great RH and a decent FAE between fannings.
An FC does not need to be sterile, and it won't be. There's no need for polyfill in a PmP, it has positive pressure which prevents contams from flying in.

hey dead, thanks for the reply. only thing is, my FC turned to a pmp so i could have a completely controlled environment inside of the FC.
with avg house temps of 60f i needed something warmer and more humid for my substrates. ive achieved this now. but another thing, is my house is a leaky mold box. not very safe to remove the lid and fan.
if theres no way to bypass this, then i wont try, but if there is, id like some ideas.

A fully colonized substrate is pretty resistant to contaminations. And the best way to combat molds is to give good FAE, since molds like stale air.

Ok so im a newb and just got Psilocybe cubensis B+ strain
Want to know how they would go if i tried spawning with the PF tek coz i dont own a pressure cooker and use 2 parts of vermiculite 1 part of brown rice flour and 1 part of water and basically follow the PF tek i found on the boards: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/9285870/an/0/page/0
Then break it up like explained in the thread i mentioned and fruit into a montoub with horse poo bulk substrate i have a link to that tek but cant find it at the moment but you get the idea so anyway what do you guys reckon does this sound ok for these B+??

Tinfoil will do nothing to keep out contaminants, but it could hinder gas exchange (that's bad). Always remove it from jars after inoculation.
Some PF-cakes are done with a vermiculite barrier, but otherwise, yes, you do need to "cover" inoculation holes--- either you use micro-pore tape (which allows gas exchange) or you inoculate through a self-sealing silicone injection port.
There is no need to cover colonizing jars with foil or coffee filters.....they do however need proper filters (proper, filtered gas exchange). ~P~

I may have killed them with thermal heat. i had them in a rubbermaid with the lid sealed and a heating blanket wrapped around it. it got pretty warm in there and i think my substrate dried up :/ what do you recommend is the best strain to start with? i used B+ but im pretty sure i killed them.. i just need incubation directions lol. take tinfoil off and leave them on my closet shelf? no tape over the holes? light is okay? i just want this to work, and i would appreciate the feedback. thanks!

litterally inoculate them and set them on a shelf DO NOTHING MORE its that simple :] more heat is bad anything over 80 degrees and your risk contamination is much higher 65 to 80 degrees is perfect and yes dont leave tinfoil on as he stated it restricts FAE
