Lid of my terrarium
    #905736 -

My lid doesnt seem to be on as tightly as it could be. IS there any way I can keep the humidity inside better? Maybe somehow rig the lid?

I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you feel it's really a problem, why not cover the top with a layer of plastic wrap instead of using the lid?

since I know you personallly, and have seen your setup, I would reccommend getting a better rubbermaid (terrarium) that provides a lid with a snug fit that seems air tight, but otherwise, I would try the plastic wrap, but you seem to already have that, but it doesnt seem tight enough to control humidity, maybe work on that!

It really doesn`t need to be airtight.
If you really think it`s a problem take Mickey Rourke's suggestion and rather use a layer of plastic.

You do not need a tight lid. I would suggest using an aquarium pump as a form of automated air exchange. You can also use the pump as a bubbler to both add fresh air and humidity to your container. The space between you container and the lid will work as an exhaust. I would also create a small hole in the side of the chamber toward the bottom. Place a filter in/on this hole. Since the CO2 is heavier than O2 the hole will allow the CO2 to leave.
