Is the paper on theistic existentialism or atheistic existentialism?

You have followed Kierkegaard's thought well. What other questions do you have? I'll help as much as my knowledge and time permits.

Good Luck!

Thank you Mr Mushrooms, I seriously appreciate it. I was just assigned this paper, and the class is moving VERY fast (too many big words ). Kierkagaard would be classified as a theistic existentialist. Although I don't think he believes in the conventional meaning "God", as I haven't seen any references to God other than "sin". He does believe in faith, which is the highest sphere of existance.

You're welcome. I agree with your last statement.

It's good to know i'm on the right track with his theories. I think the kierkegaard's "self" is the clash of the ethical with the faith sphere. It's the conflict that occurs when you want something, but your defining relation opposes it, and you're left to wonder "what do i do now?"

Yes, that is on point.

Currently I moderate two forums, am helping to create two different FAQ's and contributing heavily to the Hunting forum identifying mushrooms. I will try to help as much as my time permits. Why don't you get to work on your paper right away and e-mail me a copy of it in word so I can look at your outline or rough draft. Tomorrow I'll re-read the book so I can refresh memory. PM me your e-mail address before you send it so I can put you on my list. I have my account set to exclusive so if I do not get an advance warning someone is e-mailing me I will not get it.

What level are you at in college? Is this a course for an undergraduate degree and philosophy is your major? Or is it something else?

Cheers,

Wow! You're going to read through Sickness Unto Death?! Better you than me. Why the very thought fills me with fear and trembling!

This is a bit off-topic...

I just wanted to say that I wish all christians had the same views on religion as Kierkegaard did. He was hardcore. *in his best Ali G impression* RESPECT, mon!
