Very boiled down cactus tea

Hey,
I boiled down a cactus tea made with a few boils of 40 grams dried torch. I had a few cups of liquid and boiled it down a little more than I would have liked to, I caught it just when it all boiled off though so it didnt burn really or get stuck to the pot at all. I have a golf-ball sized piece of slime; fairly viscous booger-like stuff.
Will this still work? I think it'll be pretty nasty to eat with a spoon but that's the plan. I figure it should be fine as I've heard mescaline is a resilient chemical and I didn't let it burn after the water boiled off.
Thanks ST

Can't you just take that ball, add water, boil, and then strain?

i did the same thing once, and i thought maybe because i boiled it down too much it wouldnt work as well. and well, i did have only a real threshold effect so im not sure if it was just the cactus' potency or not enough or a mixture of that and being boiled down too much.. who knows.. but i wish you luck and that you do get a good trip off what youve got

I'm more just concerned about the potency of the ball, don't care too much about whether its liquid or not. I'll find a way to consume it.
edit: cool, hopefully it works.

Regarding your method-of-ingestion problem:
Go get some gelcaps, like the kind that dope dealers use if they run out of vials or wax-paper bags...

You can get them in health food stores sometimes, or just buy some OTC meds and then remove the stuff and stick your stuff in.

You might have to take like 30 of them but that's certainly better than trying to swallow something so god-awful that you unintentionally puke and then your puke gets mixed with the shit and ruins it (unless you then want to drink 90% puke / 10% alkaloid slime). Not trying to be gross but I am speaking from experience.
Good luck though, I'd love to hear how it works.

I remember reading a tek that actually suggested preparing it this way, so it should work. I know the medicine men in SA boil it all day long too, and it works for them.

Is it solid enough to roll into small balls and swallow like pills? You could even roll them in flour or sugar to cover the taste.

I mixed the sludge in with a small amount of grapefruit juice and downed it less than an hour ago. took 1.5 grams rue before-hand (found that a small amount of rue helped the mescaline experience last time without adding too much of its own weirdness like with mushrooms). I am definitely starting to come up already...looks like I might be in for something.
ps. only second time doing cactus. first time was 20 g dried flesh this time 40. 20 g dried with some rue was a mild trip but a trip nonetheless.

yeah 12 inches is usually recommended.. but it all depends on its thickness and weight and everything to really know how well youll trip on it. if its 12 inches and thick all the way it might be enough to have a decent trip but even then if its not potent enough it might not equate to as much of a trip as youd have liked. so 12 inches is just like a basic estimate.
ive tried quite larger cactus amounts and still came out with only threshold like effects.

I don't mean to bump a 4 day old thread, but as a follow up, the cactus snot worked quite well. Wasn't too bad at all getting down, and no nausea experienced. Mescaline gives amazingly complex CEVs!! Pretty amazing stuff. Visually, I found it to be a more colourful experience than mushrooms. Sometimes the room would just go blue or rainbow or some colour scheme lol. Good psychedelic energy without the mindfuck/thoughtloop/anxiety type thing that mushrooms can elicit. Could have handled quite a bit stronger though I think...but great experience overall. Sorted out some important stuff.

I'm deff. going to try using torch vs using pedro next extraction. I've tried mesc twice and both times used pedro (12in). Was fun, but not too intense.
