45 gallon tubs, I dry usually 3 days with the amount I have on each layer of filter, I need the extra time to get 10-12%. It works really good, the larger mushrooms take even more time, but this is a simplified dehydrater on a larger scale really...

Yeah, just order a syringe and study under a microscope! lol I am very impressed with R44. I am not sure of the origin, but whoever or whatever did a really great job with this producers. It seems to resist contams very well too.

I guess I probably used around 8-10 gallons of substrate... I don't really measure shit out, I just kind of eyeball it... I know with my set up, I can use 4 bricks coco, and then add my other stuff from there, I can feel the texture and cosistency of the substrate, when you do it enough times, it just feels right.
Enough failure brings success eventually.
I do not use casing.

Well, I didn't have time to take pictures this morning, but I picked my second tub, and WOW!!!!!!
Let me try to explain that I have never had back to back grows go this well! IO think that after this one is done, I am going to shut her down for a while, until I can work my stockpile down, and it's going to be a while for that! If I could legally get rid of them to people here, I would, but we all know how that goes.
I am not going to attmept to dunk these, since I always try to with these big tubs, and they always seem to want to fall apart, and then they are a bitch to drain anyways, so I will post a final dry weight with some pics of my bounty when the time comes.
Thanks for all the compliments, and keep your eyes open for the final weight.

WHOA MAN!!!! Potency is 9.5 out of 10 for these bad boys! I know they are only cubes, but DAMN MAN!!!!
I gave some to a few different people, I gave out 1/8ths and told them to eat as much as they thought they needed. Two people only ate 2 grams, and 4 ate the whole 18th, and wished they hadn't ate the whole thing! The trip was so intense, one friend had to be restrained from going anywhere for fear that he would endanger himself driving, or someone else for that matter.
The visuals came about 1.5 hours after eating, and lasted for a good 3 hours!!! It wasn't the normal roller coaster effect normally felt from cubes, this was a full on mind and body bender!
I am starting to wonder how or what is making my last couple batches so potent. the bird shit? the worm castings? soaking the bird seed in coffee? Damn man, what a blast!
As of right now, I am stepping down from growing for a while, I have WAY too many mushrooms to handle, and I am going to just relax and enjoy them from time to time.
Look for my next grow to be in a few months, maybe when spring breaks here.
I will post dry weight when it is ready, I am thoroughly drying these ones because I want them to last for a while!

I used fresh, unbrewed coffee grounds.

I am curious how my previous grow had MONSTER mushrooms, and this one they are all staying medium sized compared to the last grow...?? anyways, I still have yummy mushrooms, so I am happy

My guess is your rediculously awesome pinset. So many shrooms eating up the nutes they just couldn't physicly grow that big. Still a badass tub.

Hmm, will I think I used 5 quarts spawn in one of the 45 gallon tubs, and my substrate was at least 3-4 inches deep, so I don't know exactly how much volume that is???? I tend to go the easy way, trying to stick to a strict regimen, and trying to go by the guidlines of others doesn't always work out for everybody, I do what works for me...
If I had to guess, I would say per brick or coir, I may have used a 1/2 cup fresh grounds. I know I used like 3 bricks per tub, plus the verm, worm castings, coffee, and quail and pigeon poo.

It seems like your idea worked out pretty good lol. I forgot you added verm to it. How much by chance? Sorry about all the questions but Im probably gonna be trying it exactly like this for my first bulk.

I used like a 1/3 of the total volume of verm compared to my coir. You just have to go by feel really, it's a texture thing I guess. You do it enough, and screw up enough, and spend more money than you originally planned a few times, and you become pretty good at not screwing it up anymore! LOL

Okay people, here is my dry weight... I let these babies set on my fan rack for at least five days, to get ALL the moisture out of them so they will keep longer...

I stuffed 8 ounces into each gallon size ziploc bag... I have around 3 ounces in the smaller quantity bag, I already gave away 3 ounces for people to test and explore.
TOTAL DRY WEIGHT 24 ounces
Chew on some of these babies! your in for a long night of partying!
