White spongey/snowy substance growing on mushrooms

I am growing mushrooms in a terranium that fits about two half pint jars. I have them sitting on mason jar lids. The mason jar lids are sitting on the a 1- 1 3/4 inch layer of perlite. At first when I put them in the next day there was an immediate presence of this white stuff all over the mycellium. It made the cake look all puffy like a marshmllow. The next day we put another cake in and it wasnt as bad, but it is growing on all the mushrooms. I was thinking that it was because there was to much humidity. I try to fan it 4-6 times daily.

That is just the mycelum getting ready to make pins. Soon that puff will turn into hyphal knots and then pins. This happens to a friends cakes sometimes.

You'll be fine, are you sure that you're fanning them as often as you say?

My Friend had the same problem. Then he let the temp drop a little and something happened
