Azures - large scale! looking for info

Well I would like to give a shout out to everyone one here. Been viewing the boards since last year and decided to join up. I have gained alot of useful info from here and am wanting to move up in the fungal ranks.
I am looking to get into Azurescens this next year (in a big way) and am wondering where the best spores can be had. Also any info that can help out along the way would appreciated.
Will be posting the progression along the way.

I have yet to see fruit yet (started culture in Nov. last year), hopfully soon, but very agressive rhizomorphic mycellieum from sporebank, hammond flying saucer.

Best of luck, this is an eventual goal of mine. I hope you succeed!

Bad strain to start with man. Can be a huge pain in the ass to grow.

Azures is not a strain, it's a species. I'm sure he's quite aware of the difficulties, and I'm definitely sure they're well worth over coming in the end. : )

Very true. If you have no experience cultivating these organisms, azures is definitely an advanced species to start with. If you think you can handle it, go for it, but even cubes are hard for someone whose only experience is reading info on an internet forum. Once you have some experience, however, it's a different story.

Have been into cubes for over a year now. They are easy as hell. Wish I would of taken some pics. SO what would be the best of the three "strains" of the species of azure that sporeworks has; Hammond, Elixer, or Astoria? Any reccomendations or has anyone grown them yet?
I have the books; Mushroom Cultivator and Psilocybin: Easy indoor and outdoor cultivation. excellent books!!

everytime i read the thread title i think if you want large sclae azures then just make a lot of them, like instead of one pach you have 50... you would get more then BTW i think they are just like cubes and pans. strains of the species dont differ to much.

I would build up your spawn over the winter, and do an outdoor grow with them.

Indoor or outdoor grow?
It makes a big difference.
With outdoor grows.. the area that you live in can be a major factor... and you will have to grow out your spawn this Winter and make your Azure beds this coming Spring.
Indoor grows with Azures are a PITA... but they are possible.
libertaire gave you a great link to read... and there are more links in that thread to read with really useful information.
here is another link with more threads for you to look over... http://www.shroomery.org/35/Caramel-Cap-Woodlovers
good luck!~

ok, beleive hammond strain wins my vote. I am thinking of starting them off in a PF style jar instead of agar...which is a P.I.M.A. then work them to wood.
