Here's a song that's been posted before. I just remixed it. Seems I can never get it to sound the way I want. I would appreciated your feedback... Anything.

I'll peep your tune after family holiday celebrations this morning. Need the subwoofs to really get a good feel. Doesn't sound bad over laptop speakers though!

That's what I did for over 5 years (too broke, young, and ignorant to go toward anything else), and man was it ever worth it. I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. With resampling and some sweet VST's, plus the immediacy of having lots of CPU & RAM, you can make ANYTHING on a computer. No hate toward computer musicians on this end.
I made this tune the other day...first tune in a very long time I've played guitar over. I really like how it turned out. Any suggestions or feedback are/is always appreciated. Also got an EP on my SC released by a sweet blog 3 weeks ago - www.blindiforthekids.com - their headlining post, but it's 18 minutes long..so I don't want to clutter up this thread with that. If you really dig my shit, peep the soundcloud and the EP on that blog. It's free for d/l. Cheers.

A couple suggestions. Maybe boost the low ends a bit, the whole song sounds a bit thin compared to the other tunes that I'm comparing it to on itunes. I think that step could probably be done in mastering. I really dig the basic mix though man, not necessarily my style of music but I'm listening from purely a mix standpoint. It's got all ends nice and even. The vox sit very nicely. Maybe play with panning a bit more, or doubling instruments and delaying the doubled track by a few milliseconds. By panning the original and doubled track left and right respectively to wherever you want, you create a sweeet stereo image that both boosts the 'fullness' and allows you to set both at a bit of a lower volume so that you don't take up too much headroom. Sort of mimics a two-mic crossover setup.
It really does sound good though man. Like, I could hear that on a local radio station if it were mastered properly.

Here's one I finished a few months back. "Layers and Layers of Waves and Waves" - Brahma.
It's acoustic guitar, vox by me, and a lot of Omnisphere mixed throughout. I mastered it in Izotope 5.

My first song using Progression 2. It sounds so much better than the original program.

Just got done with this song. Keep in mind that I make due with what I have. I basically record with a shitty thinkpad, an acoustic guitar, and a drum machine. Thank you for your time, and thank you for being you, go you.
