I have bose headphones that pick up all the frequencies in the track. The way I have my levels setup makes the track seem a notch lower than the heavier bass I hear from mainstream music
Is there a specific parameter you would change, say, on a live board?
Listening again, I'd say it was just the kick drum that is too bassy/sub-bassy. If you already have an EQ on that channel, just try lowing everything from 80hz - 0hz about 4db or so. Either that or turn the whole kick drum down a little bit. Personally I'd go for the EQ setting. Great bass-line btw man! That could do with being a little more "bassy" but not too much. But now we're getting into me just being picky, so that's up to you. I know you said it's work in progress so just throwing ideas out there.

Doprah, that song is seriously good. Everything about it. I don't usually like autotune, but you've made it work. The guitars are so pristine that it sounds like they're already echoing around inside my head rather than coming in from headphones. But still fits well in the mix. Nice and simple parts, but all parts combined creates a rather beautiful and detailed work of art. That could and should be one of the biggest pop (please forgive me) songs of the year. Do you have a record deal or anything? And did you record it yourself or in a proper studio? Or both?

Thanks man. I put down my electric for almost 5 years and really concentrated on acoustic song writing. Just recently, I've started getting back to electric. I treated myself to a brand new guitar
I think it's good to push myself into different genres and sounds to expand my abilities as a song writer.
If you interested in checking out my electric guitar song writing(I got some decent hard rock tracks I think), I have some that are on a free streaming site...

I took a couple of those suggestions in mind and posted my most recent version a few days ago

The synth addition was a last minute thing, im still mulling over whether I like it or not. It seems to fit the second half of the track better than the first. Also wanting to change the overall sound of the amp-ed bass, not sure what to change it into though

Great stuff, sounds a lot better IMO. There's more to it. I like how that synth sort of blends the two halves together. You should have that guy and the robot dancing in your sig as the video.
