In my old apartment I had the worst green infestation of my life. Trich would grow on stuff in the fridge like pumpkin, oranges, steak, and even Sugar free Kool-Aid!!!.
I could do nothing to protect my self from the horror of seeing my mush friends eaten alive for 6 months straight. No crops at all. How have some of you beat the mean green that didn't involve moving?
Can a flowhood run a few hours a day while steam cleaning the carpet and bleaching everything save us?
I don't want to go through that again. EVER!!!

My bf's parents have a de-ionizer {or something like that} it takes the dust, mold, pollen, allergens, and the like out of the air. There is a screen in the back and you clean it out every few days, it's pretty sick what is in the air. My bf wanted to get one to help with lowering contamination for when he does grows, so that would be my suggestion Good Luck!

Steam the carpet, bleach/lysol all surfaces and buy a decent hepa filter and leave it running 24/7. While you are steaming the carpet its probably best to open a few windows and get some fresh air moving around inside. Inside air is a lot dirtier than outdoor air.
If you have central air heating/cooling, replace the filter(s) with good quality ones.
Since you have carpet make sure you vacuum at least once a week with a vacuum cleaner that is HEPA rated.

Spores normally only colonize lungs when you are immunodeficient, such as chemo patients, people with boob jobs or other implants, or with AIDS, but yeah I see where you're coming from, veda_sticks

Back in the day I use to do Restoration work on houses that had fire, water, mold damage and things of the sort besides for all the deep cleaning that has been mentioned another thing you might want to look into is renting an ozone machine if you can get the ozone levels high enough it can get into areas that you would never be able to by simply cleaning and kill spores and growth. If you were to go this route just be sure that you run it while your not in the apartment as high levels of ozone aren't healthy for people, animals, or plants either.

Yeah, that is definitely smart, I forgot about those damned things, maybe while gone all day, and then I'll return and vent the house. I read somewhere that IV ozone will kill cancer, but if its not safe to breathe, why the shit would I take it IV?
