remembering trips

I can never seem to really remember my experiences that well.
ive tripped about 25 times and i can remember my first perfectly.
about 5-8 of them i remember mostly.
and the rest are just like a string of tripping memories.
so i was just wondering about how well you guys remember yours and if there are any tips or anything to help remembering better.
i was thinking of keeping a journal or something along those lines.

I agree, it's hard to note thoughts as they're happening and I almost never remember a trip in detail after it's finished

I usually wrote the experience at the end of the trip but..it`s hard to write it down in some ways because words are not enough to describe the feelings. I mean you can write something like "and my jaw extendend down several miles/kilometers)" or "I think there was no time, the whole time in the world just stopped", but the feeling, the experience of this is what you can`t put in words. In the end my psychonaut reports are just kind of dull but anyway I think they`re cool.

Sometimes I come away with five or 10 moments that utterly blew me away, and the general essence of the trip. Others I can sit down and write a five page trip report on every detail.
