in your humble opinion which is the best way to quit the nasty cigs? could shrooms help as they sometimes do with alcohol and other adictions?

The best way I have found is cold turkey. After you quit you will want to start doing activities that test your stamina. After a while your lungs will be used to needing oxygen and not smoke.. in a few weeks youll be solid.

a less healthy way to quit is to buy 4 or 5 packs the day before you want to quit and smoke all of them that night. you will be sick of them and can use that as your momentum to stay nicotine free for a while. then slowly ween yourself into physical activities, as stated above.

Good luck quitting dude. If I was to quit I'd definitely go cold turkey. I only smoke a few a day though.

LOL! I have considered that idea before. Although I was going to use a pack of 'Camel - Unfiltered' and chain smoke the pack. I just didn't have the guts to do it though, my goodness that'd make you sick.

Shrooming is an excellent way to quit tobacco -- and then some!

I had a tremendous trip in early July of this year.  Since then:

I have quit all tobacco products:  cigs, dip.    It felt like for the first 7-10 days that I had a low-grade cold/virus but then I felt great!

I quit chewing my fingernails, a shitty habit since I was 6.

I cleaned up my diet totally.  July 7 my waist size for jeans was 42, now I am 36/38 and my goal is to be a 34 once again -- the size I wore when I was playing football my Sr. year in high school and was definitely athletic/lean.  (I am 6'4", BTW)

To help sort out your life and get over addictions nothing compares to shrooms IMO.
