contamination disappeared?!?
    #902106 -

My friend's jar was colonizing, and I saw this patch of off colored mycelium. It was kinda peach / orange colored. The spot has been shrinking and is nearly gone now. If the spot disappears and the cake doesnt smell funkey, do you think its safe to use?

Sometimes mycelium gives of a kind of waist, piss if you will. It is sometimes orangish-yellow.....

Your cake is probably fine, dont worry!

well, when I last saw it it wasnt completely gone yet.... if it disappears I guess it'll be ok to use - but if I check on it later this week and its still their, I'll toss it I guess.

I was just wondering if the mycelium fought off a bacteria infection if it would be ok to use. I guess it is, but could the bacteria just be on the inside of the cake, hidden from view?
