Totally. Floyd is probably 60% of the music that I listen to, and I listen to a lot of music.

What are your top 3?
I would say: 1. Dark Side -Just a fucking genius album. I remember the days in high school where I would smoke pot and listen to Speak to Me/Breathe in the morning before school. Right as the high would kick in, the song builds up and crashes into the rest of the song. I'll never forget that shit.
2. Meddle -Lots to love on this album. Gilmour's lap steel playing on "One Of These Days" is really cool. Echoes is epic (though I don't care for the chirpy seagull shit in the middle). I always like San Tropez and Seamus although they seem kind of out of place in PF's music, but are good with the rest of the album.
3. Animals -It is just cool how they made an album based off of Animal Farm. You can't beat Gilmour's playing and the cynical nature of the album is kinda creepy and poignant at the same time. Funny that it was made in the 70's and still hits home these days.

I used to say a three-way tie between those three, but I recently turned on a friend to The Wall and recalled how much I loved it as my first of their albums.
I'd bump off Animals, I guess.
Edit: Three-way tie between those two, that was great.

Nice, I think you're the only one who's said this one....that one def. gets an honorable mention for me . Post-syd and gilmour was still very new (I think first album with him?) and some of the style from piper carried over to that one. Very spacey and psychedelic.

The best description of Floyd.
They made 2 VERY trippy albums
Then they made 3 albums that were not anything special
Then they made 3 of the greatest albums EVER. Meddle DSOTM WYWH
Then roger waters was a bitch for 3 albums(all good albums however.) Animals The Wall The Final Cut
Then david Gilmoure beat a dead horse for a few albums.
-------------------- And I said, I don't care if they lay me off either, because I told, I told Bill that if they move my desk one more time, then, then I'm, I'm quitting, I'm going to quit. And, and I told Don too, because they've moved my desk ...four times already this year and I used to be over by the window and I could see the squirrels, and they were merry, but then, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and its not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll set the building on fire.

Pink Floyd: More, man. That wasn't just any album, I turned one my friends on to it while cruising, and he was frying in the passenger seat. It's trippy as fuck.
