what would YOU do with 4 cakes?

i just want some advice one what others would do with 4 F+ cakes. two arent fully colonized, but i have some other jars that are catching up to these (been a month on the F+, and the other jars its been a week). what do you suggest doing with them?

i would use a cake or two to spawn a large pile of compost in my backyard.

and then use the other two to spawn another large pile of compost in my backyard.

wont crumbling the cake cause contams and the cake to bruise? I thought it had to be intact so shrooms can grow out of it

You crumble the cake so that you may fill a pan with the colonized BRF substrate. Then, this is cased. Understand?

Well, if the cakes are fully colonized then you don't need to worry about it. What I do is get a baggie and toss the cake in, and crumble it from the outside, then you have crumbled cake in a baggie...

Bruising is just bruising, its not gonna kill it..

It does'nt have to be intact to begin recolonization of the casing material, you see the white blotches growing through casing materials? Well, its there isnt it?

Matts, thats the best advice on this thread. So is that grain or brf. My buddy did some jar to jar (brf) transfers, growth was amazing. Listen to Matts, then you will have more than 4.
