Habitat: I found these today among some pine trees, in the pine litter.  There were a couple small bunches of them, I just wasnt sure if they are honey mushrooms or something else.

Gills: white, tightly packed

Stem: whit / some light rusty areas, 5mm thick

Cap: rusty brown in center to tan on edge, some with darker tan ring

Spore print color: on the way

Bruising: none noticed

Location: Illinois / Wisconsin border

Also found this nice puffball that Im gonna take a go at cooking with some noodles and such

thanks once again, Alan!

also among these I found a patch of portabella-like mushrooms poking their heads through the pine litter.  Really defined veil on stalk.  Sadly I didn't take any pictures but does it sound like anything you might know of?  I'm kind of slow with my searching and I don't want to get wrong information so thanks for any help
