How does this casing look? update with pins

After it was patched on the 21st it was put in the FC and has been since then. Temperatures are around 74-78 and humidity is above 90%. It has since poked up a little mycelium but stopped a few days after in the FC. IS this a problem or is this expected? Any ideas when pinning would start?
Update: Pins!

It was just cased in Verm. 1/2 inch dry on the bottom. 1:4 ratio sterilized on the top. Just a beginner casing.

why would you put dry verm anywhere in your substrate?
also: i get better results with no casing at all compared to a straight verm casing.
straight verm is just a waste of time/money/overall yield in my opinion.

Well i followed Joshua's casing tek, put 1/2 inch on the bottom and sprayed it until wet.
Hippie you said it looked a little dry. Should it be misted more often then?
And it was about 35% colonized on the surface when patched. Followed hyphaes pinning strategy.

well if you sprayed the vermiculite until it was wet, then you didnt put down a 1/2 inch of dry verm at the bottom did you?
which is good!
like i said though, verm by itself, in my experience, seems to hinder even pinsets and large subsequent flushes when compared to no casing layer at all.

Correct! Just something to try out on a stalled jar. I didn't realize coir and hydrated lime could be found so easily.

If you're going to get coir , you'd be better off , and your yield would be greater , if you used the coir as a bulk substrate and fruited without a casing layer .
Yes , you should mist your layer often enough to keep it moist.
