 Trouble finding canning jar

Ok, so Ive hit up just about every store I could think of that might have canning jars in the area. And all of them have been out and its been like this for probably two weeks? Has anyone else had this problem? Does it get like this every year around this time or what? I just got in a bunch of syringes I ordered and all my other jars are being used right now....sucks.

It's canning season. Grocery stores are the place to look. My local hardware store also carries them this time of year.

Check places like Albert son's and A ce  But like RR said it is prime time for canning season. You can also likely find some online if you are willing to pay for shipping.

I ordered from www.canningpantry.com since I couldn't find them anywhere (local hardware stores, supermarkets, etc...).

I tried tracking some down for a friend and realized she was trying too hard...looked, supposedly, *EVERYWHERE* with no luck.
I was buying some veggies at a grocery store and saw 4 shelves stocked with every possible size/shape.

Grocery stores (at least in my area) stock them aplenty during the fall. They will probably free up the shelf space come winter tho...

You can just use glasses with a foil on the top.

Yup you can, but its nice to have canning jars. If you absolutly cannot find them. The use 1/2 pint drinking glasses with a double layer foil lid (foil folded it 2) held on with a rubber band. Inoculate threw the foil as if it were a canning jar.

Yea, I checked 2 walmarts, every grocery store, tractor supply, and probably a couple other places. I've checked Walmart about twice a week for the past two weeks. NOTHING. I'll just have to wait til my other jars are done I guess.

The wal mart here has truckloads of jars due to canning season. They have them year round, but not as many. Sometimes they're tucked away though - on isle over from the plastic tupperware stuff is where I found them. The people working there might not know what you're looking for. Canning Jar? You want something that's a can and a jar??? No, we don't have those

it took me at least 5 days and around 12 stores to find 3 cases of 1/2 pint wide mouths. people love the things. try grocery stores and ask, they like to hide the damn things.

At grocery stores they are located in the baking goods isle. Down on the bottom shelf OR above everything else.
Make sure to scope out the plastic lids to! It doesn't cost much to make Agar, (the dude, not the growth medium), style lids!

Like I said earlier, Ace Hardware was best spot for me, I walked in and right in front of the doors were pallets of jars
