any pan subb look a likes?

i went on another hunt today and found what i believe is some pan subbs. black print, it matches descriptions i've read and pictures i've seen but is there any harmful look a likes out there? i think i read somewhere that if a print is black and growing on dung it more than likely wont hurt you because it belongs to the panaelous species. so is there any species out there that i could be mistaking them for?

Yes, Panaeolina Foenisecii, but the spore print is brownish. You might have got the right stuff, did you noticed any ring on the border of the cap ?

yeah they had a darker cinnamon/brown ring around em'
pure black prints..
can Panaeolina Foenisecii be harmful if ingested?

If it drops a black print and was growing from dung, then no, there aren't any toxic look alikes. Now if your idenfication skills are really bad you could have picked some Coprinus, they have dark prints. If you eat Coprinus and drink alcohol 4-6 days after eating them then you could get sick.

thanks for the help.
last night a friend and i ate them and nothing really happened.  i felt that tingly feeling about 15-25 minutes after eating them.  i'm assuming i didnt eat enough, since everything i've read about subbs states that they are pretty weak. 
oh well, at least i found a good field. :laugh:
