Good. Better than the movie. And it doesn't have all of those gay overtones that the flick does.

AWESOME!!!!!!!!    I love Fight Club.  But it depends on your own personal tastes.  For me it was an affirmation of all that I believe.  :smile: 

  The rest of Palahniuk's work is fantastic also.

Umm how can there be gay overtones with yourself??? Sorry, but if you had any gay overtones from fight club it was a shroom hallucination or "extreme sensitivity" to gay overtones.

You have to really watch for it. Right after the scene at the lipo clinic, the two men go buttfuck to celebrate their new find. I think it may have been edited in the VHS release, but if you got the DVD, you can unlock all the hidden gay porn in the movie.....

It is a great book. I prefer it much more than the movie. The ending is different.

Lullaby, Diary, Survivor, and Choke are great reads.

His new book 'Rant' is absolutely fantastic. It's told in the style of a narrative, many different personal accounts in sequence, about the life and insanity of the largest disease spreader in history.

Which turns into a social commentary complete with time-travel and immortality connotations.

'Haunted' was also great. It was a bunch of short stories written together behind a backdrop story.

Palahniuk is so gifted, sick, and often dead on point.

Fight Club was both an excellent book and movie.  His other work is interesting reading, I'll grant you, but the vast majority of it seems to be running towards gratuitous shock value and a rehashing of the same fundamental personal nihilism that Fight Club expounded the first time.

Stranger than Fiction, though, was up to snuff.  Real stories, told with the Palahniuk perspective, = win.  And did anyone else see the previews for the movie version of Choke that's gonna be released pretty soon?  Looks quite promising.
