Wheat Straw Confirmation!
    #898205 - 09/21/02 09:16 PM (14 years, 2 months ago)

Hello everyone, I purchased 2 bales of straw from Micheals (craft store). The brand is Flora Craft and I think its for straw weavers. It doesn't say specifically what kind of straw it is. The bale size is 6"x6"x12". The color is a light yellow. They were very cheap, 2 bales for under 8 bucks. I just wanted to make sure I got the right stuff. If anyone can confirm this for me, please do. I'm pretty sure its wheat straw, but not a 100%.

Thanks All !

I've been paying $2 a bale. Guess i got luckey. prolly should get some more before the guy's out. Mine let out alot of grains while being transported. they were obviously wheat kernals. Have you found any seeds in it you could identify?

In my area, Michaels carries the same thing as Gardenridge. I had great luck with this in the past. The quality had gone down quite a bit lately, and that sounds like the same stuff. I checked Michaels the other day, and the only difference was price (GR is a little cheaper).

I love weat straw so much , I think Ill marry it....
I just wanted to comment and say thanks for giving specific places and prices that I can find things...it really makes a difference in morale when a person can say..
" hey I can get that and do it."..you guys rule....eventhough I think that weat straw pic is too seductive for human sensory perception. lol

This moment has inspired me to graduate to the next level..that and Mycofile's neglect bulk pictures.
