Over Pinning and Prunning?

Hola, Quick 1 here, should one max out a pinset and wait and watch what happens or should one pull the whole Japanese Apple thing and prune back some pins to have larger fruits? Japanese Apples are extremely huge for those who have not seen one. They prune back early fruits to ensure nutrients for a selected few. Ever notice that many abhorts are around a nice sized fruit. Curious. Hasta.

Okay... DOH!

But really...

Neat idea, but, NO. Picking pins will disturb the mycelial network and cause negative effects in growth because the mycelium will want to recover rather than produce.
