How does my set up look?

Give me some feed back on what you think. Will the lights be too close to the cakes and burn them up? Thanks.

The lights might heat everything up. If it were me, I would hang them above the rubbermaid if you can. Otherwise, everything's looking pretty good.

Silicon seems to have a sharp pungent odor to it. Will this harm the cakes in any way?

I don't know if it will harm the cakes or not. I'm not exactly sure what the solvent is. You should let it cure before using it I would think.

PS, the light is about 2.5 ft away from the fluoro light that has 2 cool white tubes.

In consideration of heat build up I changed my schedule for lighting. From 2 am to 3.30 am, light on. 3.30 am to 6 am, lights off. 6am to 7.30 am, lights on again. 7.30 am to 2 am lights off. What do you think? Just wanted to distribute the heat, if any from the flouro, and allow the cakes to "recooperate."

Pretty shitty to be honest. Fuck cakes, make casings. Sorry, honesty sucks, but did you really want flowers with your responses. Shit smells bad to let you know it's real. Make some casings and watch for better yields. And yes I have been drinking!

Be careful of the silicone. A lot of them have anti mildew agents that probably wouldn't be too good for any mold. Aquarium sealant doesn't have any antifungals. Read your label.

Yah, Im only concerned with the silicone I used to cglue my plastic down with. Ill just let it dry, hopefully this will do the job.

Its been over 12 hours since I used silicon to glue my top on. It still has its pungent sharp odor, but not as strong like before. How long does it take for it to goo away? Im afraid if I use it now before it is completely cured, it will harm the cakes somehow. Im using saran wrap in the meantime.

Usually 24 hours is enough for it to fully cure.
