 Liberty Cap, Black Spore Print?

I found what i believe to be liberty caps, the spore print came back as black(may just be very dark purple). I noticed the spore print color for the liberty caps is purple or brown. I was wondering if these could be a lookalike.

No black spore print in Libertys, for sure. You will almost always see a bit a bluing too as the bruised portion dries some.

ive never been good at identifying bluing, this one looks like it has none. Oh well, got my hopes up a little to high i guess.

Not necessarily true. You might see some blue bruising of the mycelium at the base of the stem, if at all. Bluing is not a very good characteristic to use to identify Liberty caps. Look at lots and lots of pictures. Familiarise yourself with the details of the Liberty caps' characteristics by doing lots of research.
Liberty cap spore print, as you say, is dark purplish brown. Yours is jet black so it is probably of the Panaeolus genus(an inactive one). The cap shape is also quite different (compare closely with pictures of Psilocybe semilanceata, Liberty caps). Also, liberty caps have a separable gelatinous pellicle.
Here is a link that describes the separable gelatinous pellicle. This is a useful feature that Liberty caps have and is easily recocgnisable.

no, i dont think ive ever seen bluing on the fresh mushrooms, only on dried ones, but i keep thinking i see bluing....its hard to explain its like i wish there was a blue color, and i see blue

I see nOObs do this all the time, dont worry about it. Once you start finding sum actives youll know what to look for.
Also with libs dont count on seeing that much blue bruising.
The reason they dont blue much is that they are extremely high in psilocybin and low in psilocin, mushroom with a high concentration of psilocin bruise heavily.
Psilocybin is converted into psilocin in your body so just because libs are on the low end of psilocin does not mean they are any less potent than mushroom with a high psilocin content.

usually you'll only see blueing on p. semilanceata at the base of the stipe.
perhaps the odd bit here and there also, like so.

Also not how the nipple looks as well, its more pointed than the mushroom you have posted.
