German justice minister compares Bush to Hitler (REUTERS). Now lets compare the rise and fall of the Third Reich (THEN) with that of the Fourth Reich (NOW):
THEN (early 1930s): US/Nazi alliance formed; Prescott Bush (shrubs grandfather) is head liason officer. NOW (1981): Reagan begins arming Saddam Hussein. Future enemies as allies preceeding world war.
THEN (1933): The Reichstag Fire NOW (2001): 9/11 The radical right-wing ruling party stages a terrorist attack on its own soil in order to manufacture a casus belli
THEN (1935): The enabling acts NOW (2001): USA-PATRIOT act Using the above as a pretext, both acts are meant to wipe out all remaining civil liberties and establish a terroristic police state.
THEN (1938): Czechoslovakia NOW (2002): Iraq Shrub is attempting to force the UN into the same position as Chamberlain in 1938: to draught a "Munich Pact" that will hand Iraq to him on a plate, or else face the global consequences of a unilateral invasion.
THEN (1939): Poland NOW (2003 or later): Iran The world can no longer deny the reality of the Fourth Reich. WW III begins, with the world ill-prepared to take on the US shrubbernaut. Similarly in 1941, the US and Britain combined paled in comparison to Nazi Germany.
THEN (1945): Fall of Berlin NOW (>20 years after US invasion of Iran) The Bush/Cheney empire meets the same ignominous end as its predecessor. Russia gets the east coast; China gets the west coast; Europe gets the upper midwest; and the Arabs get Texas and the lower midwest.
