Oh, the irony of posting this on a forum that requires electricity, a computer, and a steady internet connection.
shit, you can even build your own computer and harvest your own electricity.

Dunno about you, but my computer's made out of organic compost and runs off a backpack-mounted windmill.

i just think the shroomery has a lot to input as a whole
if youve ever been on a long bicycle journey, or hiked for days through the forest or something, it would be great to post not only what you used, but different survival tips that came in handy while u were out in that terrain. also it would be great to hear personal experiences with going out and doing something like this.
i mean, look at PDU and how inspiring his bicycle journey through peru and bolivia etc were, he had his whole setup with the saddlebags on the bicycle full of supplies, he had trouble with his camp stove working after a certain altitude and found ways to make do, he knew what foods he would need i.e. salt, fruits/sugar, etc to make the journey he gave insight to some very informing things to know when doing something like this, that most of us probably would have never known.
its all really inspiring, and motivational.
survival how-to's, natural household how-to's, self sustainability, foraging for food, making life more simple, alternative energies, living with nature, raising animals/fish for farm/food, natural products, organic gardening, natural medicines/remedies, composting, etc etc etc!!
we should just call it the Hippy Den no really though "DIY, Survival, & Simple Living"

I was actually trying to start a blog with almost the exact same content with an emphasis on health, but its moving a little slowly. But yeah, I think you listed most of the main topics.

Oh, the irony of posting this on a forum that requires electricity, a computer, and a steady internet connection.
Riiiiiight. Because it's impossible to live in the woods, or rurally, or to generate clean power. I don't know where you've lived but I've lived in places with plenty of sunshine Not to mention waterfalls enough to generate lots and lots and lot of power in a major metropolitan area.
And whether or not anyone cares about the environment or not, you have no choice anymore. And I'm in a way, I'm fucking overjoyed. I'm saddened that poor people in our system, as resources decline, and the price of energy inevitably climbs higher and higher, will be ground off the bottom of the pyramid so to speak.
But I'm happy that western nations may be forced to innovate and research at a pace reminiscent of the space race, or the race for nukes. I'm really hoping we don't end up with countless new wars, or a large war(even world war) but over the next 10-20 years, this IS going to be a rough period. At the very least, it will be rough economically, if we don't change, and we've waited far too long.
I just cant help but raise a toast to all the apathetic people that are misinformed or don't care about the serious environmental crisis we've been in for so long as it is, and saying.....Haha mother fuckers It's too late, we need to change, or collapse. We better choose carefully. And I'm going to see how it all plays out. Good thing I'm not afraid. This will be rough, but fascinating and awe inspiring if we(western civilization) can get it right.

Natural Parxis was used at another forum board I frequent.
I support the DIY forum, but I think it needs a good name, like the above. That's all I wanted to add ATM.
Quote:
prax·is Pronunciation: \ˈprak-səs\ Function: noun Inflected Form(s): plural prax·es Etymology: Medieval Latin, from Greek, doing, action, from prassein to do, practice — more at practical Date: 1581
1: action , practice : as a: exercise or practice of an art, science, or skill b: customary practice or conduct 2: practical application of a theory
neat stuff!
EDIT. Wow, those should have all been one post. My bad. But hey, this should my support for the idea!
K I'm done for now.
