Another Day, Another Cactus...
    #8928470 - 09/14/08 12:56 PM (15 years, 5 months ago)

Or Two...

check out all the lophs! :awesome:
thats the bench of small ones, didn't get a pic of the bigger ones because the owner was hanging about...

here's what i came home with...
a few caespitosa's and a couple of normal williamsii.

don't know what these are, they were not labelled.
have a crack at id'ing them, i can't make up my mind about them...
they are going to be used as grafting stocks anyway :yesnod:

and last but not least, some rather nice variegated gymnocalcium hybrids, oenanthemum x horstii, deal of the day @ £2 each

edit: just realized it's not your greenhouse.

Dr :ronpaul: says to stop trying to treat the side-effects of big government and focus on the core issues. End the Federal Reserve/audit the gold reserves at Fort Knox, abolish the IRS, end all wars and occupancies, stop the building of an empire that will inevitably fail, and cut all unconstitutional federal programs. Put the power back in the peoples' hands by ending this nanny-state.

that big bench of lophs, they are all £7.50 each...
everything is sold on pot size, not plant size...
so if you go to the other side of the greenhouse there are bigger lophs for the same price, which are the ones i have been buying of course :yesnod:

the first caespitosa was more expensive, like £25, but it is a nice big clump, all those heads are like 3-4cm.
the second caespitosa was one of the £7.50 plants.
the 4 smallest caespitosa's, £4.50 each.
the two l. williamsii were £7.50'ers also.
the trichs were £4 each.
the variegated gymnocalcium were a steal at £2 each.

(double the prices to get to $'s)

all in all, very well priced in comparison to online retailers :yesnod:
