Sounds to me like he's scaring people off when he starts raving about the other psychedelics. Not that I disagree with him but people with less open minds don't easily accept that these substances are safe.

I stopped listening after "DMT is produced when you die" and "You have massive amounts of DMT produced in REM sleep".
About as much propaganda as the DEA.

I disagree.
Have you read DMT:The Spirit Molecule. Strassman also believes this could be the case. I bought copy of that book when it first came out, but I haven't read it in years! So I could be wrong.
And to Crasher, so what, it's posted here at the shroomery. Yes he may alienate some people at YouTube etc, but people need to have their ideas about these incredibly safe substances challenged.
If someone sees it, and disagrees strongly enough to do some reading, they will find that much of what he is saying is true.
Of course there's going to be a myriad of reactions. But Joe Rogan is a comic, not a scientist. I think his "effect" overall, has been quite positive.

inside of the first minute it starts loading with bullshit, 10 years ago it was true that PDFA was financed in part by alcohol, tobacco and pharmaceutical companies, they've sinced dropped funding from alcohol and tobacco but still retain money from pharmaceutical companies

And what about the constitution, and the bill of rights? What we're those printed on? And actually, it seems the Deceleration of Independence was first printed on paper, then parchment. Then an engraving was made, and they printed 200 copies on parchment, again.

Well we don't know when this was recorded. And so he got a few facts wrong. It's 11 minutes long. Sheesh.
BTW, many of the things he says are true. Even if there are a few glaring errors.

Right. By people like Rick Strassman. And I don't think he just dreamed up the idea. He theorized that it happens based on what he has learned.

it's great conversational topics for people that support the legalization/decriminalization of drugs, not suitable for debate
WR Hurst, exactly how did he benefit financially in aiding in the outlaw of hemp, in actuality it cuts his own throat in not investing the few million to update his plants for hemp processing since hemp is so much cheaper to produce and he has a string of news paper publishers across the country
you dont become a media mogul by being a dumbass, the move on hursts part was entirely political, just as many of his decisions were

exactly, he theorized and pro drug supports ran with it, it's like the argument for creation vs. evolution

I'm with Pris, Rogan makes an awful lot of assumptions and regurgitates a lot of sterile pro-drug arguments
EDIT: good vid though. I like his attitude

Whoa!!! Slow down. We're moving to fast, you've got make the moment last, just, kicking around(?) the cobblestone, looking for fun and feeling groovy.
Anyway , you don't believe in evolution, do you? That's a scam. Seriously.
As for Hearst, I'm not sure if I agree it was just political. I thought he owned papers, and logging interests. Hemp IS, even today, a threat to logging companies.

Hey...can you tape it? If you could tape it, even with the video option on a digicam or something, I know many people here, and on the rest of the intertubes would love you. I would love you.

look at the info about hemp as the superior building product, textile, etc... hearst could have put several industries out of business by cultivating hemp fibers, it's cheap and renewable, less acreage for growing, more usable product and at least 2 crops per year in most areas of the US as opposed to 1 crop every 15 years for pulpwood
you tell me, would that really have hurt hearsts logging interests if he switched over, he'd have had several markets in his pocket

It's "just a theory".
