grain too dry?

I innoculated monday night, and it is now thursday, with no sign of mycelial growth. I know that this is somewhat normal for the Ecuadorian strain, but I?m worried that maybe my grain is too dry. Have a look:

Um. that was meant to be a question of opinion. IE, is it too dry?
