has anyone tried dunking in beer?
have they noticed a difference?
which beer is best for a beer dunk?

Yes try it and let us know how it goes.But make sure to boil the beer for about 5 minutes first,to get the alcahol out

Hahaha, before you try to dunk your cakes in beer try and take small amount of beer and place it into you fruiting chamber (where everything is perfect for growth of contams, mycellium and so on) and then decide if you want to waste your cake.
I've used beer in the past as an initial ingredient to the substrate, offering the cake beer later only invites the worst of contams. It only takes 1 day for mold to take over a neglected can of beer.

well... last night my kitten wiskers put some (10 cc's) of beer into his pf cakes, for they looked a tad dry, and today growth exploded very rhizomorphically in the spaces there was no white, said the cat.
the one rye jar the kitten injected didnt show any progress, but the rye jar with a bit o sugar added to some boiling water took off a bit more...
