ok, sorry aboot that. Looked it up myself.

there is like, alot of content, but nothing really said at that site.

"Why is the DoD Involved?
The Department of Defense (DoD) conducts Arctic research to ensure the development of the knowledge, understanding and capability to meet national defense needs in the Arctic. Interest in ionospheric research at HAARP stems both from the large number of communication, surveillance and navigation systems that have radio paths which pass through the ionosphere, and from the unexplored potential of technological innovations which suggest applications such as detecting underground objects, communicating to great depths in the sea or earth, and generating infrared and optical emissions. Expanding our knowledge about the interactions of signals passing through or reflecting from the ionosphere can help to solve future problems in the development of DoD systems, and could as well enhance the utilization of commercial systems which rely on the expedient transfer of real-time communications. "

That just raises further questions I think.

Well anyway talk of missles:
1) the government already has the land and so it is ideal for placing missiles at.
2) the government is lying and other things are going on at the haarp location, something that must be protected.
3) I don't know.

I read about HAARP about 6 or 7 years ago, I think it was first. At the time they [the feds] were talking about how they could produce an intense burst of radio waves that would move upwards through the atmosphere and punch a hole in the ionosphere. They said the hole would collapse back in on itself within minutes so nothing was permanent.

Why they wanted to go punching holes in the ionosphere...I don't know. But there were also some enviromentalist groups at the time shouting about how the ionosphere is what protects us from cosmic radiation.

Yah.. I remember that... The same technology is used in Telescopes. If you punch a hole through all the mess then you get a clearer picture of space...

These holes were found to not actualy "close" up but more get "covered" up by the surrounding mess. Over a period of time environmentalists projected that the ionisphere would grow soo thin that it wouldnt be able to cover the holes any more...

I thought that they banned this sort of thing..?

Well the ionosphere is constantly being regenerated by the very radiation it blocks, mainly solar radiation.

So thinning it out isn't much of a concern, definately not comparable to thinning of the ozone layer.

I grew up with this kid who know works for
a government agency that does contract work for the DOD,
among other gov agencies, the DEA for one.

Anyway, he is big on satellite imaging and other stuff like that. I'll put some feelers out and see if he can 'splain this HAARP artic circle thing to me.

Granted, he has some high security clearance, but he will not breach his security obligations for my sake, so I doubt that if it's anything out of the ordinary he'll tell me.

Maybe I'll inject him with some sodium penth-whatever first.....
but then the G-men might come get me.....
