What are some good flicks that are just a story like no country for old men? Not the usual movies that have the begining, middle and end but end abrubtly without closure or are twisted and don't really go anywhere like lost highway.

I'm the kind of guy likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder - "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecued ribs with the side order of gravy fries?" I WANT high cholesterol. I wanna eat bacon and butter and BUCKETS of cheese, okay? I want to smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section. I want to run through the streets naked with green Jell-o all over my body reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly might feel the need to, okay, pal?

I dunno if this is the type of movie you want, but I found Mulholland Drive to be a very intriguing movie.

I loved Mulholland Drive. Lynch is great.
The Keep is a perty cool older flick. If you ever get a chance to see it, do so. The story is original.

Speaking of movies with story, someone recommended i watch the movie "The Man from Earth". It's a science fiction movie with NO special effects. Instead, it relies on dialogue and a room full of actors. It can be a very slow movie if you aren't engaged in the characters conversation.

I agree, excellent movie. On the topic of Lynch, Blue Velvet is my favourite of him, closely followed my Eraserhead (although it scared the hell out of me).

You'll like True Romance. Tarantino's first screen play and an AMAZING cast.

No offense, but There Will Be Blood absolutely sucked! One of the most overrated movies I've ever seen. And the ending was even worse than the rest.
