Wow that's really cool. How hard is it to carve? There is a place less than a mile from me that quarries soapstone and the guy is really nice he said i could come take what i wanted but i didn't know you could use a basic hand tool to carve it. Ive seen Indian axe gods carved in soapstone in a local museum. I might want to give that a try. Do you have to go through a polishing process when your done? I really like your work!

after the form is roughly done, you have to polish (wet) using fine sandpaper: 220 > 400 > 800 > 1000
