how long would it take to dry?
what's the easiest method (the one that uses less). can ijust let them sit in an open room? i need everyones personal opinion

i thought there was a pic on the shroomery of a drying setup .....Simply (if you cant find it) It is a fan mounted on a box. On inside of the box would be a wire screen .....put shrooms there and turn on the fan ....Walla

i saw damp-rid at walmart yesterday it was like 4 bucks is that cheap enough?
fan dry for a day or two and put in a tupperware with dessicant in the bottom
the end result is cheap easy drying

Put your harvest on a screen with a fan pointed at them for 24 - 48 hours.. they will dry almost cracker dry that way...... and cheap. If you want them to be completely dry after that use the dessicant in a bowel method.That will dry them "cracker" dry

I find the best and fasted drying method is the oven. Use the LOWEST temperature setting, and leave the oven door about 1 to 2 inches open.
Cracker dry in one and half hours. No fanning, no damp-rit, no waiting for days, no nothing. Sure, it does lose a tiny bit of potency, but so what? Take 1 extra gram to make up for it.

Nothing stopping him.
I find a good 2 days of fanning and then into a brown bag.
Put the brown bag into a container of epsom salts or dessicant.
cracker dry.

Simple method:
If you can find a small - cheap squirrel cage fan? Just mount it on the lid of a 5 gallon plastic bucket. Drill a ring of holes around the base of the bucket. Lay any screen or cloth in the bucket & let it "sag" down a little. Lay the shrooms on the screen, place the lid on & plug in the fan. Let it run a day. Then remove the shrooms & set them in a closed plastic container w/Epson Salts as a desicant. The will be "cracker" dry -- before long.
Small, quite, easy & cheap to do.

i couldnt find any dessicant at wal-marts around here, so i went to a hardware store and found mine. i bet a place like lowes would have some too. then just get a little plastic container (i got a clear one, not sure if that matters or not) and i also got some of those little metal rack things that painters use, at the same hardware store, and bent em so they fit on the top. put the dessicant in the bottom, jam the grate over the top, and put your beauties on there, and close the lid. that should do it, after about a day or 2 they will be "cracker dry" so to say, but u can still pull em out and eat em during thier process, that is, if your like me  also you should search the faqs here, just read it ALL. it will help your knowledge out alot, it covers most of the things out there.

Well you have a cheap , easy drier , will take anywhere from 2-5 days depending on ambient temps and humidity in room you dry in .
