Well my favorite vacation ever was a road trip across the country, went to 15 states....and by far my favorite was colorado, especially just above colorao springs and boulder. great scenery good size population so you arnt necessarily out in teh middle of now where. plus MaryJ policies are pretty lenient...i consider that a pretty nice perk.
all in all just a great vibe with a great environment. plus i lov to snowboard all winter andthey have the best snow in colorado

Heh... a few things.
It has the best climate in Canada that I am aware of. Where I live there is snow on the ground 5 months of the year. I like the size, I like the ocean. I like the pretty flowers. I have friends there too.

You're right, it does have the best climate. Too bad it's a capital city, it's like a mini ottawa full of cops and tourist traps. I got into UVic for january, but I'm way reluctant to move over there... I'd rather live in Montreal and face the harsh winter.

Ive always been curious what living in Thailand would be like. Nice weather, nice beaches, nice surf, dangerous jungles, Muay Thai fights daily, plenty of Muay Thai gyms, cheap food, cheap housing, and ladyboy bars everywhere

I think that anywhere in the country is nice to live. A place where you can sit on your back porch and see no other houses. Hey.... I just described my own back porch:) Here is the best place on earth right now. I am blessed

New Orleans. Lived there for a few months and CLOSE to there for many years. Very laid back city (they don't call it 'The Big Easy' for nothin') great history, food and music and a style all its own. If you can't have fun there somethins wrong with ya!

I would love to live in Dubai, UAE if it weren't for the local Islamic laws. Actually I'm pretty sure if I lived somewhere I could see palm trees all year round and still be part of modern society I'd go there.

Vancouver is the shit. I have no idea what tourist traps and cop problems that guy is talking about. The cops here are chill as hell. Really no complaints minus the 5 months of rain that are coming up, but then its all about the mountains.

First of all, I'm not a guy, and it even says so right above my avatar.
Second, I was talking about Victoria, not Vancouver.
Third, the cops in Vancouver are not chill. How long have you lived here? 3 weeks? Do you live in Kitsilano or something? Are you a middle class white guy?
Almost everyone I know has been assaulted by the VPD at least once. One friend just had the shit kicked out of him and sent to jail for the night for being drunk. They're macho fucking thugs looking for any excuse to assault a civilian.

Cairns, Australia. The biggest reef in the world is right off the coast and the city itself is in/near a rainforest. That would be awesome.

Montreal is very nice and homey for me, but for now Zürich is good too, although it could be much better if I could speak some swiss-german.
I would like to try Iceland, Sweden or Norway too.

I lived about an hours drive outside Cairns for 6 months. A town called Atherton. It was the nicest place I lived during my 2 years in Australia.

Norway (was an exchange student there during high school). Or Iceland. Never been in Iceland though, but the only thing it's missing as far as I'm concerned is forests.

I lived in Zürich for 3 years when I was a child. It's a great city... probably would have been even better if I spoke the language.
The only place I like better in Switzerland is Interlaken. If you like the mountain environment, that place is pretty much paradise.
Edit: Here is Interlaken http://www.alpine-pearls.com/alpine_pearls/live/ap_domeditor/psfile/file/43/Interlaken46497522aaec0.jpg

I put in another vote for Colorado. I moved here 16 years ago, and I don't plan on moving. Very nice weather & even better hippie vibe.
Also, Mediterranean Spain is very nice. I studied during the summer 8 years ago & took two 3-day long trips along the Mediterranean coast. Very laid-back & easy-going vibe.
