No, it's a pig and it doesn't look forward to anything... That's what people do. We look forward to bacon, ham sandwiches and footballs.
* Yes, I know footballs are not actually pigskin.
Vegetarian for health reasons = understandable.
Vegetarian for stupid animal suffering =
Vegan = Atomic Attention whore, emo fuckstick or just a moron.

because some vegetarians still enjoy animal based products that a vegan won't eat. its just a more rigid approach to their diet or lifestyle.

I don't know.. but 90% of vegans I have met are unhealthy as shit because they don't know how to do it right. And they eat a bunch of junk food, which most of the time isn't even vegan.. so much of that processed shit has animal products in it you don't even know about.
If you're going to cut out all animal products altogether including eggs, milk, honey, etc etc.. you gotta eat a proper diet. It IS healthier than a meat eating diet IF you do it properly.
However I don't see the point because a vegetarian diet accomplishes the same thing while letting you eat more things.. vegan just seems like you are punishing yourself for no reason.

it's 'healthier' if you know how to eat and what to supplement. most do it wrong and end up in worse shape.
personally, i just eat healthy and try to eat processed foods as little as possible. raw fruits, raw veggies, YUM! i eat chicken,fish,etc... red meat every week or so.

Precisely... In any event, a true vegan would live on a farm and grow their own food, right?

i tried it after watching some peta flick. i felt like total horseshit for 2 weeks. if your gonna be a vegan, you'd better have a planned out diet every fuckin day. i tried to just go straight into it and my body said nope.

any vegetarian that claims to do it because of "animal cruelty" is full of shit. they should be vegan. those dairy cows have to have a calf every year to keep producing milk.. where do you think veal comes from? the ONLY justifiable reason to not eat meat is from a health standpoint. i was vegetarian for 2 years, then this summer ate some game.. elk, deer, moose, pheasant.. after a couple months i could compare my diets and honestly i felt much better when not eating meat. i had more energy, less stomach problems, etc.. so i went back and i feel good about it. damn that deer was tasty though..

For me this is all so simple, IMO, of course
Meat, is often delicious. It can be good for you(when not overdone). Animals deserve good treatment, animals that are treated well produce better meat(look it up that's true) Our environment is important. Factory farms are incredibly harmful. And the only things truly wrong with eating meat, are the ways in which much of "our meat" is produced.
So then. What's the answer. For me it's shop locally, and organically, the meat tastes better, and it's better for the environment.
As for emotional pleas for animals. I love animals, and even a farm cow deserves a bullet to the brain rather then a painful death.
But killing, and eating, is part if nature. If you don't know this I simply don't know what to say.... Lay in the grass. Even there, countless things are feeding on other things.
It's not the end(meat) it's our means that are the problem. And my dad sends me deer meat all the time BTW. Lucky me
Now that doesn't mean being a vegetarian is bad. Done right it's healthier. Because even organically raised cows store toxins from air pollution in their fat.
But as someone that used to have a harsh judgmental attitude towards meat eaters when he was being a confused sandy vag teen. I want to offer this bit of advice.
Think about it. What's really bad about eating meat? Is it meat, or the way we produce meat?

You can buy "cruelty-free" dairy and egg products. The only way to know how cruelty free is to do research and know the company you're buying from, or you know/are a farmer.

it's a lot healthier for you, i used to support PETA, but now i grew brains, but becoming a vegan helps your body, a lot. don't hate it until you tried it, man.

I'm a vegetarian because of health reasons and the whole animal rights. I don't eat meat because I can't imagine killing that animal.
I used to be a vegan...back when I wanted to take it to the extreme

this is what i was also trying to point out. like the difference between wild caught salmon and farmed salmon is rediculous.
for instance, at Newport in Oregon (west coast), they had restaurants with fresh fish RIGHT OFF THE DOCK! and the salmon was so amazing/sexy/delicious/tasty.

I didn't understand vegetarians/vegans for a long time. So I went Vegan for 3 weeks. And let me say, I felt healthier than I ever have. Less bloated, more energy. And yes it is true, in my 3rd week I could actually SMELL meat-eaters. BUT!, It's a serious lifestyle choice. I had to plan my meals for the whole 3 weeks. Making sure to get all my vitamins/minerals, and also planning ahead when eating with other people.
I do enjoy eating meat, but it really gave me a wake up call as to how reliant we are on animal's.
I don't agree with allot of the way animals are treated. So now I buy free range meats, and organic produces. A small step we can all take, with out having to severely altering our diet.
