Fun With Fish Tank FC

Searching through my garage the other day I found an old 10 gal. aquarium. Ive been wanting something smaller to use as a fruiting chamber. This is it. I went to the nearest pet supermarket and copped a reptile heating pad, a dual output 60 gal. pump 26 ft. of hose and 2 16 inch bubble wands. I filled the aquarium with 3 inches of damp perlite and then added 1 inch of water. The temp is at a constant 79 and the humidity is steady at 100%.
As for other parts, I replaced the regular tank lid with a piece of sheet Plexiglas bought from Home Depot for 6 bucks and cut it to size. I then drilled 2 holes on 1 end of the tank, just big enough to fit the lines through. These lines are then connected to 2 bubble wands that adhere to the bottom of the tank via suction cups.
Pics:

I like this set up for the simple fact I constantly have FAE, my humidity is up and stays up even when I take the lid off and fan the shit out of it.
Any tweaks to be made? Please inform me if you have made 1 of these as well!

You could probably scrap the heating pad for the time being. Heating in a FC generally will not be required at all, unless your winter months dip down pretty damn cool. 79 is above optimal temp for your magical little friends during the fruiting cycle. More suitable temps are going to be around 72-73F. A bit lower would be fine as well.
Also, I see you are using the bubble wands for your FAE, one slight problem I see tho, is you are pumping(fresh) air into the chamber... but where is it escaping? Might want to punch another hole in that lid for a vent to allow your c02 rich air to be pushed out as the fresh air is being pumped in, otherwise your only route for it to escape is going to be your non sealed lid, which might be a bit too restrictive.
Most PMP designs have multiple holes in the sides of the FC for "dirty" air to be expelled. FAE is a key element during fruiting!
Just a couple minor tweaks and you should be good to go mate

Thanks bruv. I was asking myself that same question. This morning I drilled about 12 1/4 inch holes in the lid. My debate between myself and myself was whether or not I wanted to buy a drillbit for glass and drill the sides. Ill try just the lid first and then go from there. And yes, the heating pad has been scrapped!
